Network Access Profile / SSID


You can create a NAP with the IP address of the WLC or with a NAR, but can you create a filter on Source MAC or SSID ? Yes it’s possible.

When you sniff the radius packets you will see the Source MAC and SSID with the right AVP:

The calling station is the client. The called station is NOT the WLC, but the AP which the client wants to connect to.

To create a NAP filter just for one SSID use the Advanced filtering :

I don’t know when to use it, but it’s possible.. 😉
