It’s possible to have the AP authorize with the MAC against the WLC or Radius server.
First the WLC is looking if the mac (format aa:bb:cc:dd:ee:ff) can be found locally :
If it’s not in the list, it will search at the Radius server (If configured).
At the Radius server you must create a user with mac address and the password is also the same. (format aabbccddeeff without : or .)
If it’s also NOT at the Radius, the AP won’t register at the WLC.
