HREAP

HREAP can be at different modes :
Connected : The AP does have a connection to the WLC
Standalone : The AP doesn’t have any connection to the WLC.

Central Authentication : Authentication process involves the WLC
Local Authentication : Authentication process involves local AP.

Standalone Local Authentication method for a HREAP AP :
Open / Shared/ WPA-PSK / WPA2-PSK
All authentication processes are handled by the WLC in Connected mode.

Central Switching : Tunneld to the WLC
Local Switching : Traffic stays locally at the wired LAN of the AP.

If the AP in H-REAP mode should support VLAN’s, the switchport must be configured as a Trunk.
At the WLC configure HReap to use VLAN’s.
